REQUIREMENTS Access is along 1.5 miles of unpaved vehicle track. No specialist vehicle is needed, but the track is uneven in places and care should be taken when driving. We will provide tools, (washed) gloves and instruction. If you can bring your own gloves for extra Covid safety that would be appreciated, but please could you wash these first, to avoid bringing in any seeds or plant pathogens? Please wear clothes appropriate for gardening, including long trousers, sturdy footwear, waterproofs or sunhat as necessary. There are some covered areas but the plan is to work outside as much as possible. The event is subject to weather and any Covid restrictions in place at the time.
Capacity 10
TOILETS Yes 3-4 min walk away (not wheelchair accessible)
DOGS Sorry, no dogs (except assistance dogs) allowed in the tree nursery. Dogs are allowed on the reserve but must be kept on leads at all times due to ground nesting birds.
DISABLED ACCESS People with mobility needs may bring their car right up to the nursery entrance. Access to nursery compound is flat but unpaved. Once in the nursery, the ground is a mix of gravel hard-standing and mown grass. We would make every effort to accommodate people with mobility needs or visual impairments. Please contact David to discuss your individual requirements. Accessible toilets available in Nethy Bridge village and Loch Garten Nature Centre (approx. 15min drive).
