A range of activities for folk to join in.. bumblebee safari, a tree tales, making ‘crusies’, river catchment models and more!
Do ‘solar observation’ with the Aberdeen Astronomical Society, or make your own light from natural materials with Mike. Hunt for minibeasts with Jill, or go on a bumblebee safari with Annie. Joan will be telling tall tales about the trees and Neil will take you on a tree trail to find out how they provide homes for animals. You can learn what you can do about climate change with Deeside CAN and even have a go at river dipping!
Also, Glen Tanar Estate will have a working sauna over the weekend! Take a peek!

Aberdeen Astronomical Society will be holding a solar observing afternoon from noon with specialised telescopes for looking at the Sun – dependent on good weather!
Family friendly activities, spend an hour or spend all day, drop-in sessions.
The family fun starts at 10a.m. at the Visitor Centre in Glen Tanar, and goes on until 4pm- or until we are all exhausted!
There’s a small charge for parking, and donations are welcome.
