Whether you’re a complete beginners or know all the steps, there’s fun for all here.
With live traditional music from a mighty folk trio led by local Grantown piano player Hamish Napier, Innes Watson (guitar) and Patsy Reid (fiddle), this is one of the finest dance bands you’re likely to hear. An exciting, energetic and modern sound for everyone to jump about the hall to!
Hamish will talk everyone through the dances with fun and clear instructions, so no previous dance experience is necessary.
This is far from a formal dance workshop – no tartan kilts or sashes necessary here! Instead, expect an informal fun-filled, mini ceilidh event. Trainers might be a good idea, instead of shoes. This is the perfect chance to learn (or brush up on) Scotland’s most beloved simple ceilidh dances: the ‘Gay Gordons’, ‘Canadian Barn Dance’, ‘The Orcadian Strip the Willow’, and ‘The Virginia Reel’ and more!
I’ll be be great craic for kids and parents alike. Guaranteed to tire your kids out so they’re sure to sleep like little angels that night! It’s just 1 hour so you can have them home for their tea before 5pm!
3.30pm – 4.30pm

PLEASE NOTE – this is a one hour afternoon event designed for children.
